Competition for the New Intermodal Station of Ourense, Spain with Eduardo Souto de Moura, João Alvaro Rocha and GPO Ingenieria S.A. to Renfe / AVE, Ligaciones de Alta Velocidad _ Concurso para a Nova Estação Intermodal de Ourense, Espanha com Eduardo Souto de Moura, João Álvaro Rocha e GPO, Ingenieria S.A para Renfe / AVE, Ligaciones de Alta Velocidad de Espanha When in the 19th century the railway stations were built, the cities suffered an inevitable development. The stations have created the station square, hotels, restaurants, trade, urban transport ... An inevitable downside was the cutting and sectioning of the cities, with the interruption of the streets and "fragmentation" of the city. The interest of this proposal was to minimize the fragmented city, being the building of the new station and its complementary programs a factor of cohesion and connection between the two parts of the city, North and South. _ Quando no século XIX foram construídas as estações de comboios, as cidades tiveram o desenvolvimento inevitável. As estações criaram a praça da estação, hotéis, restaurantes, comércio, transportes urbanos…Uma parte negativa e inevitável foi o corte e secionamento das cidades, com a interrupção de ruas e “partindo” a cidade. O interesse desta proposta foi o de minimizar a cidade fragmentada, sendo o edifício da nova estação e seus programas complementares um fator de conexão e de coesão entre as duas partes da cidade, norte e sul.
