Among the new Urbanization Plan, the Container Park, the Industrial Zone, Lavradio and the Urban Centre of Barreiro, it was proposed a Park, crossed by the road and the railway lines that would serve as ceiling to the Lavradio Station. With the Lavradio Station the convergence of people for this "place" could be ensured, confirming the polarity of this new urban fragment. The conventional train station as the new involving centre was the objective of the proposal. _ Aquilo que poderia ser um “não lugar”, uma sobra, um interstício entre 5 polaridades, poderia ser exatamente o contrário, o centro de uma nova geografia que iria emergir. Entre o novo Plano de Urbanização, o Parque de Contentores, a Zona Industrial, o Lavradio e o Centro Urbano de Barreiro, foi proposto um Parque, atravessado pelas linhas ferroviárias e viárias que servia de teto à Estação do Lavradio. Com a Estação do Lavradio poderia garantir-se a convergência das pessoas para este “lugar”, confirmando a polaridade deste novo fragmento urbano. A estação de comboios convencionais como novo centro da envolvente foi o objetivo da proposta.
